Super Eagles Camp Hits Full Strength as 21 Players Storm Antalya Ahead of Iran Match

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have recorded a significant boost in numbers at their training base in Antalya, Turkey with 21 players now in camp as preparations continue for upcoming international friendly matches.

Reports indicate that six more players joined the squad on Wednesday morning, adding to those who had arrived earlier and strengthening the team ahead of the fixtures.

Among the early arrivals were Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Fisayo Bashiru, Yira Sor, and Philip Otele, alongside Semi Ajayi, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Additional players currently in camp include Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Maduka Okoye, Zaidu Sanusi as well as Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Adebayo Adeleye, Igoh Ogbu and Emmanuel Oluwasegun

The team is staying at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel in Antalya, where training sessions have already commenced. The first full session was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Camp activities began on Tuesday with the arrival of coaching staff and officials led by Head Coach Eric Chelle who is preparing the squad for the international fixtures.

Speaking on the development, Super Eagles Media Officer Promise Efoghe expressed satisfaction with the turnout, noting that the players’ early arrival demonstrates strong commitment.

He added that the technical crew is focused on using the limited training period effectively to build team cohesion and implement tactical plans.

Originally scheduled to take place in Amman, Jordan  the matches were relocated to Turkey due to security concerns in the Middle East.

Nigeria is expected to take on Iran on Friday, before facing Jordan on March 31, as part of preparations for future competitions.
