Alen Pamic, 23, a player of the Croatian First League team Istria 1961, died on Friday night during a small-pitch recreational game, after suffering a heart attack, In Serbia reports.
Alen, the son of Istra coach Igor Pamic and brother of Dinamo Zagreb player Zvonko Pamic, had a history of heart problems and he had collapsed on the field at least three times before.
A midfielder, Pamic spent the 2010/11 season with Standard Liege, but was released after his first collapse, when he had to be reanimated.
Alen Pamic also played for the national youth teams of Croatia.
