The Olokun Festival Foundation (OFF) is proud to announce the 24th edition of the Olokun World Festival, scheduled to hold on October 19 and 20, 2026, at the newly established Kakanfo-Falola Beach in Badagry, Lagos State.
The festival, which has grown into a major cultural event attracting dignitaries and tourists from across Nigeria and the world, celebrates the rich heritage, traditions, and cultural identity of the Yoruba people.
Olokun, the revered deity of the deep sea, symbolises wealth, creativity and the mysteries of life. This festival is a unique opportunity to reconnect with these values through arts, crafts, music, and traditional ceremonies.
The newly acquired Kakanfo-Falola Beach, which hosted the festival for the first time last year, will serve as the festival’s venue again this year.
The Kakanfo-Falola Beach is already evolving as a world-class tourism destination site like other renowned beaches across the world. At completion, it will feature world-class facilities such as recreation centres, a hotel, conference hall, gym, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a mini stadium, and courts for sports such as tennis and beach soccer.
The programme of events for this year starts on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, with PRAYER TO ALMIGHTY GOD by 11am at Oodua House, Ikeja. On Saturday, October 17, there will be BEAUTY PAGEANT by 4.00pm to select a new Miss Olokun.

The special vigil will be conducted in front of Olokun by all members of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC). It is a special prayer to bring about spiritual blessing for Nigeria, for Yorubaland and for all Yoruba sons and daughters.
