Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna is undergoing a medical with Serie A champions Juventus ahead of a cross-city move.
The 25-year-old Italy centre-back has been a long-term target for the Bianconeri and, despite Juve director general Giuseppe Marotta revealing negotiations had stalled in recent weeks, he now appears close to completing a reported 10million euro transfer.
A statement published on Juve’s official website read: “The 25-year-old defender is visiting Turin’s Fornaca clinic and Medicina dello Sport center ahead of a proposed move to the Bianconeri.”
Ogbonna played a key role in the heart of defence as promoted Torino booked a second season in the top flight and, having made his senior Italy debut against Poland in November 2011, he has collected six caps for the Azzurri.
