NSE moves 418.94m shares worth N4.96bn in bullish trading

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday moved 418.94 million shares valued at N4.96 billion transacted in  3,944 deals in a bullish trading.
This was against the 311.28 million shares worth N9.78 billion traded in 4,194 deals on Wednesday.
A breakdown of the activity chart indicated that Access Bank was the most active for the day, trading 106.39 million shares worth N798.86 million.
GTBank followed with 51.86 million shares valued at N1.74 billion, while Diamond Bank traded 31.47 million shares worth N27.98 million.
Stanbic IBTC sold 30.77 million shares valued at N800.04 million and FBN Holdings exchanged 23.53 million shares worth N103.57 million.
The market capitalisation rose by N63 billion to close at N9.841 trillion as against N9.778 trillion achieved on Wednesday.
Similarly, the All-Share Index inched 175.18 points or 0.62 per cent to close at 28,461.61 compared to 28,286.43 posted on Wednesday.
Nestle led the gainers’ table, gaining N20 to close at N870 per share.
Stanbic IBTC followed with a gain of N1 to close at N26.01 and Guaranty Trust Bank also advanced by N1 to close at N33.60 per share.
Glaxosmithkline gained 80k to close at N16.80, while UACN appreciated by 65k to close at N14.98 per share.
Conversely, Mobil oil recorded the highest loss for the day, shedding N15.77 to close at N299.63 per share.
PZ trailed with a loss of N1.15 to close at N17.85 and Nigerian Breweries lost N1 to close at N145 per share.
CAP was down by 25k to close at N34.25 and Oando shed 19k to close at N8.36 per share.
