The Return of Arinzo

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has achieved a major milestone with her latest movie, The Return of Arinzo, which grossed N104.8 million during its opening weekend in Nigerian cinemas.

The film emerged as the top-performing movie of the Easter period, setting a new record for the biggest Easter opening in Nigeria’s box office history.

According to industry data, the movie also ranks as the highest-grossing Nollywood sequel debut and the second-largest opening weekend of 2026 so far.

Distributed by FilmOne Entertainment  the film attracted massive audiences across cinemas nationwide shortly after its release.

Moviegoers turned out in large numbers, contributing to its impressive box office performance.

In a statement shared via its official social media platform, FilmOne expressed gratitude to viewers for their support.

The distributor described the film’s performance as a major success, highlighting its record-breaking debut.

Industry observers believe the film’s strong opening signals sustained performance in the coming weeks.

With continued screenings and growing word-of-mouth publicity, *The Return of Arinzo* is expected to maintain its momentum at the box office.

The film’s success further reinforces Nollywood’s expanding commercial appeal and growing cinema audience base in Nigeria.
