International studies released on Wednesday said India has emerged as the world’s leading adopter of artificial intelligence in the workplace.

According the study 41 per cent of employees in the country now use AI tools daily.

The study shows that Indian employees lead the world in artificial intelligence integration, reshaping productivity, job confidence and digital skills.

The report also found that nearly 80 per cent of Indian professionals interact with artificial intelligence several times a week, the highest level recorded among all surveyed countries and significantly above the global average.

India’s rapidly expanding role in the global digital economy highlights the country’s accelerating transition towards AI-driven workplaces across multiple sectors, including technology, finance, education, logistics and public services.

The study revealed that India outperformed all other participating countries in regular workplace AI use.

Nigeria and Vietnam followed with 39 per cent and 36 per cent of employees using AI daily respectively, while globally only around half of workers reported using such technologies multiple times per week.

Researchers noted that widespread AI integration is transforming everyday professional routines, automating repetitive tasks and increasing reliance on digital tools for communication, analysis and decision-making.

The findings point to a growing debate surrounding productivity and the future of work. While employees who use AI daily reported higher levels of engagement and lower stress.
