The Department of State Services (DSS), on Thursday, revealed that suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has been charged to court.
This was confirmed by DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya. He declared that Emefiele was arraigned in compliance with a court order.
An Abuja High Court, on Thursday, ordered that Emefiele be charged to court within one week or released.
President Bola Tinubu, on June 9, suspended Emefiele as the apex bank’s chief and directed that the bank’s Deputy Governor of Operations, Folashodun Shonubi, resume office in an acting capacity.
