garba_manu2Golden Eaglets chief coach, Manu Garba, has stated that despite the report that his best striker Isaac Success may be ruled out of Friday’s group game against Iraq, he sill believes strongly that the player would get better much that he would play the game.

The Eagles medical crew are sweating on star player’s fitness after he limped off the pitch with what was suspected to be a hamstring injury in the match against Sweden on Tuesday.

Garba said on arrival in Dubai Wednesday that there is the possibility of Success playing yet at this championship.

“We can’t rule him completely out because the medical crew are paying close attention to his situation,” Manu said.” Hopefully,he would be okay in the later stages of the competition.”

Aside Success, the rest of the players according to the team’s doctor, Deji Olarinoye are in good health.

” Apart from Success, all the other players are in good shape,” declared Deji.”As regards Success, we can’t be speculative until we have done a thorough examination.”

Meanwhile, coach Manu has given the Golden Eaglets a break from training upon their arrival in Dubai saying the players deserve some rest after the hectic game against Sweden on Tuesday as well as travelling from their former base in Al Ain.

The team is staying at the sprawling InterContinental Hotels located within the Dubai Festival City; and would train at Al Shabab Stadium on Thursday before their final game against bottom of Group F team, Iraq on Friday.
