Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on United States President Donald Trump and the international community to pay attention to developments surrounding the forthcoming Osun State election.
The singer made the appeal through a post on his Instagram Story, where he expressed concerns about possible tension, intimidation and disruptions that could affect the electoral process.
Singer Calls for Peaceful and Credible Election
Davido urged relevant authorities to ensure that voters in Osun State are able to participate freely and safely during the election.
He said residents should be allowed to exercise their constitutional right to vote without fear or pressure.
“Osun people deserve to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely, peacefully, and without fear,” Davido said.
