U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that he was secretly moved from Air Force One to another aircraft during his visit to Türkiye after security officials reportedly identified a possible threat.

Trump made the disclosure while speaking with reporters after returning from a trip to Ohio, saying that the decision was made by the Secret Service and military personnel responsible for his security.

“I just have to do what they say,” Trump said, explaining that he followed the instructions of his security team.

President Says He Was Moved for Safety Reasons

According to Trump, he was informed that he needed to use a different aircraft, although he said he did not seek detailed information about the nature of the reported threat.

“I guess there was a threat out there. I didn’t really ask too much about it. I get a lot of threats,” he said.

The incident reportedly occurred during Trump’s visit to Türkiye for a NATO summit.

Air Force One Departure Continued Without Trump

Reports said Trump initially boarded Air Force One in front of cameras before later leaving the aircraft using an airport catering vehicle.

He was then transferred to a smaller U.S. Air Force aircraft positioned nearby.

According to reports, Air Force One later departed Türkiye with senior officials, staff members and journalists who were reportedly unaware that Trump had already left the aircraft.

Security Protocols Surround Presidential Travel

Presidential travel arrangements involve extensive security planning involving the U.S. Secret Service and military officials.

Authorities have not publicly released further details about the alleged threat or identified its source.

Trump’s comments highlight the security measures often used during international trips by senior government officials, particularly during high-profile diplomatic engagements such as NATO meetings.
