David Mark’s son dies in London hospital

Tunde Mark, the son of former President of the Senate, David Mark, died in a London hospital on Friday morning, an official has said.

This is contained in a statement by Paul Mumeh, Special Adviser on Media to the former president of the senate on Friday in Minna.

The statement sad that Tunde, the first son of the former president of the senate, was born on October 13, 1971.

“Tunde attended Yaba Military School, located in Yaba, Lagos where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.

“He later proceeded to Bradfield College, Berkshire, UK, where he attended Secondary school.

“He is a biochemist who obtained a B.Sc degree from Kings College, London.

“He studied Immunology alongside Biochemistry and later Biological Sciences in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

“He was married and had a daughter.

“Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari says he shares in the pain of loss with Mark, and his family,  following the passing of his eldest son, Tunde Mark.
In a condolence message by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina on Friday in Abuja, the President commiserated with friends, relations and associates of the former senate president over the loss of the promising gentleman.

He noted that the deceased had over many years, worked with his father, supporting and holding various responsibilities as a public servant.

Buhari affirmed that the outpouring of testimonies of Tunde’s humility, simplicity and large-heartedness clearly showed his love and service to humanity.

He, therefore, urged Mark and his family to find solace in the good works of the departed.

The President prayed that the almighty God would comfort Mark and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
