danbaba_suntaiA Taraba High Court on Wednesday restrained the PDP and its seven-man committee from taking any further action on Gov. Danbaba Suntai.

The court ordered PDP to stay action on the terms of reference given to the committee to submit report on the office of the governor pending the determination of suit.

The PDP National Working Committee mandated Sen. Hope Uzodima-led committee to look at the problems of the party in Taraba, especially on the temporary absence of Suntai.

Justice Nuhu Adi, who made the order, held that granting the exparte application became necessary because of the time frame the committee was given to submit its report.

“I am of the view that the applicants have made out a case to grant this application.

“To refuse this application is to render the outcome of the suit nugatory and destroy the subject matter of the action.

“It is equally impossible in the circumstance to give notice to the respondents within the short time of their assignment,’’ Adi said.

He, therefore, restrained the PDP, the committee members by themselves, privies, servants or agents, from acting on the terms of reference.

The court adjourned the case to June 17, for hearing.
