Arsenal moved a step closer to clinching their first Premier League title in over two decades after a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The winning goal came just before halftime when Kai Havertz met a perfectly delivered corner from Bukayo Saka with a decisive header, breaking through Burnley’s disciplined defense.

Despite a scrappy performance for much of the match, Arsenal held firm to secure all three points, extending their lead to five points over Manchester City with one game remaining. Arsenal now sit on 82 points from 37 games, while Manchester City have 77 points from 36 matches

The Gunners can be confirmed as champions if Manchester City fail to defeat Bournemouth in their upcoming fixture. Should City win, Arsenal will need a victory against Crystal Palace away from home on the final day of the league to secure the title.

Manager Mikel Arteta praised his squad for their resilience and focus, emphasizing the importance of maintaining composure in the final stages of the season.

With this win, Arsenal fans are on the brink of witnessing history, as the club edges closer to ending a 22-year Premier League title drought
