Flying Eagles captain, Abduljaleel Ajagun, has backed out of a club contract that would have seen him play for Croatian club NK Lokomotiva.
The Zagreb-based club were close to pulling off a transfer coup before Ajagn thought otherwise.
They were the Croatian league runners-up last season and are involved in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Europa League.
The Dolphins midfielder opted out of a move to Croatia after he received a better deal believed to be from Greek giants Panathiniakos.
“He was just waiting to get his visa to Croatia before he called in to say he will no longer be interested in the move,” a top noted.
Ajagun has interested Turkish second division side Samsunspor, where U20 teammate Umar Aminu has moved to, but he insisted he did not wish to play in the lower league.
Other Nigeria U-20 stars who are on the move include midfielder Uche Agbo, who has been training with Italian club Udinese, as well as strikers Alhaji Gero and Olanrewaju Kayode.
The Enyimba ace was accompanied to Italy by club boss Felix Anyansi-Agwu.
Kayode has interested Esperance of Tunisia as well as handful of European clubs.
Enugu Rangers striker Gero, who won a Nigeria ‘B’ cap in Abidjan recently, is wanted in the Netherlands, Tunisia and Sweden.
