It was a moment of joy on Saturday, February 4, when Inspector Chidinma Nduka, Orderly to the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo, walked down the aisle with her heartthrob, Mike Eneh, at the wedding held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Haven, Enugu.
At a colourful reception held at Amadeo Event Centre, Enugu, the Deputy Governor, who was present both at the Church service and the reception, witnessed the event with smiles on her face, expressing her joy.
Making her presentation to her Orderly, Chidinma and her husband, Mike, in an emotion laden voice, the Deputy Governor said, “Chidinma is like a daughter to me. I treat her as my daughter. She is my first daughter. I hereby make my presentation to my first daughter. This is my presentation to her, Lexus Jeep, RX 300”, Ezeilo said.
Chidinma, who could not hide her joy, walked to her “mother”, the Deputy Governor, and hugged her, weeping.
The Deputy Governor, in turn, held her “first daughter and gave her a pat at the back”. It was so emotional with the guests clapping and showering praises on the Deputy Governor, Cecilia Ezeilo.
Guests at the event include Hon Rita Mbah, former Commissioner for Tourism and Culture, Enugu State, who represented the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Peter Mbah, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji, Commissioner for Special Duties, Mrs Marbel Agbo, Commissioner for Lands, Chidi Aroh, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, former Commissioner for Commerce, Dr Sam Ogbu Nwobodo, Sir Clem Nwankwu and his wife, among others.
Parents of the bride, Chief and Mrs Nduka, and the parents of the groom, Chief and Mrs Eneh, were also at the event.
