Ugwuanyi bags South East/South South Media Executives Network award


Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has received the South -East /South -South Media Executives Network award for his outstanding developmental strides and as “Distinguished friend of the press”

The award ceremony took place during the Nigeria Union of Journalists”, NUJ’s victory party organised
,by the Media Executives Network in Conjunction with the national secretariat of the NUJ
in honour of the newly-elected National President of NUJ, Chris Isiguzo.
The event which took place in Owerri, Imo State
attracted who is who in the Nigerian society.
including the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Nwike, DG ,NUJ Rescue Team ,Alhaji Ali Atabor and the Sector Commander, FRSC, Anambra State Command, Mr Sunday Ajayi

Chairman of the occasion, Prince Ford Ozumba, former Director General, Imo State Orientation agency, applauded the leadership style of Ugwuanyi.
He described Ugwuanyi as a good Leader, an achiever a gentleman and and a bridge builder who has performed well as Executive governor of Enugu State.
Ozumba urged the people of Enugu State to rally round the governor and embrace his developmental agenda so as to enable him complete his dynamic vision for the State.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Enugu State governor, the newly elected national president of the NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, described Ugwuanyi as a silent achiever and one of the most media friendly Personalities in Nigeria.
He urged the governor not to relent in his developmental giant strides, not to lose sight on the dynamics of his vision and to continue his good relationship with the media.
The event featured lectures and goodwill messages across the states
Highlights of the occasion included cutting of the victory cake, choreographic display, Comedy and a dinner party.
It could be recalled that Isiguzo emerged victorious at a fiercely-contested NUJ election held in Abeokuta, Ogun State on October 5, 2018.
