Two kidnappers were on Saturday shot dead as policemen rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, sister of the immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons – Peter and Paul.
Freedom Online learned that heavily-armed operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) stormed the kidnappers’ hideout and engaged them in a gun duel.
A security source said two of the criminals were immediately neutralised.
Others escaped.
Policemen are already on their trail.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Oyo State Command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the successful rescue operation.
