Timi of Ede faces arrest over ‘Adeleke’s certificate scandal’ + letters of invitation from Police Commissioner

First class traditional ruler in Osun State and Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, may be arrested by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Reason: He has refused to honour invitations extended to him in respect of allegations of conspiracy, forgery and certificate scam.
On August 9, 2018, the Commissioner of Police in charge of General Investigations Section, Force CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos, Ahmed Gimba Magaji, wrote to the monarch to make himself available in respect of allegation of certificate forgery involving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
A source declared that the authenticity of Adeleke’s result from Ede Muslim High School, Ede is being questioned and the school principal, Abass Kalidi Adejare, was arrested on July 31, 2018 “to shed lights on when and how the result was issued”.
The source said when being questioned, Adejare was alleged to have confessed that he was forced by some prominent Ede indigenes to issue Adeleke’s statement of result and letter of confirmation on July 24, 2018.
The source said the principal, who was detained for some days, may have mentioned the monarch, hence the invitation extended to him.

Gimba sent a letter to Oba Lawal on August 9, telling him to appear at Alagbon on Tuesday August 14 “at 10.00hrs in connection with a case under investigation”.
Obviously, the monarch shunned the invitation.
Gimba fired another letter on Wednesday August 15 for him to report on Thursday August 16 at 10am prompt “in your own interest”.
The source said that if the monarch “refuses to honour the investigation the second time, the police may go after him”.
But, a palace source described the invitation as a sacrilege, saying since the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has officers in Osun State, “they should go to the palace and ask our monarch what they want to find out from him. We won’t allow a desecration of our culture”, he said.
Below are the two letters from Gimba.
