Three Amendment Bills were on Wednesday read for the first time on the floor of the Kwara House of Assembly in Ilorin.

The bills are Kwara State College of Nursing Amendment Bill 2023, Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery Amendment Bill 2023 and Kwara State College of Health Technology Amendment Bill 2023.

Clerk of the House, Alhaji Ahmed Abdul-kareem, read the three Amendment Bills for the first time during Wednesday plenary

The Speaker, Mr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu (APC/Ilesha/Gwanara), therefore referred the Amendment Bills to Business and Rules Committee to slate the bills for second reading.

He further instructed the Clerk to circulate the bills among the lawmakers ahead of the second reading.

Meanwhile, a minute of silence was observed in honor of former lawmaker representing Moro-Edu-Patigi Constituency at National Assembly, late Yahaya Yunusa, who died last night.
