An Ilorin-based legal practitioner, Mr Olushola Babajide, has advised parents to teach their wards to embrace African culture.
Babajide gave the advice in Ilorin on Saturday, in an interview with  Newsmen
He said that parents should instil the rich African culture in their children.
According to him, most parents never bother to teach their children African ways of life, rather, they enforce on them foreign culture.
” Parents must wake up and stop prioritising foreign culture, they should appreciate the African ways of doing things rather than celebrating foreign culture.
“Africa is blessed with rich cultural values that must be passed on to upcoming generations.
“Teach your children how to dress decently in the African way, teach them how to interact with people politely and also teach them how to respect people,” he said.
The lawyer warned the public to stop relegating African culture and promote it among themselves.
He said that African culture was far ahead of others.
