The recent poor performance of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in the ongoing Globacom Premier League has drawn the ire of the management of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), the parent body of the club.
According to a release issued after a crucial meeting which was signed by ODSFA secretary, Mr Dele Ologbese, the management took various decisions which included the slashing of salaries of the officials and players by 50 percent.
Technical Director of the Agency, coach Henry Abiodun was drafted to the main team to join hands with the Fatai Amoo-led technical crew.
In addition to that, all players and officials of the club have been mandated to move to the ODSFA Games Village camp with immediate effect, while the players are to submit their car keys to the Team Manager, Rasheed Balogun who will hand them over to the Chief Driver of the Agency.
Also, all the players that were absent during training session have been placed on indefinite suspension without pay.
The release advised any official not comfortable with the directives to
resign his appointment while the management enjoined the fans to exercise patience during and after matches as other clubs have also gone through rough paths at one time or the other this season.
