The splinter group of PDP said it would be present at the National Secretariat on Nov. 11 for the swearing in of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as National Secretary of the party.
This is contained in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr Chukwuemeka Eze in Abuja on Thursday.
Justice Joseph Tor of the Appeal Court reinstated Oyinlola as the authentic National Secretary of PDP in Abuja on Wednesday.
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja presided over by Justice Abdul Kafarati had on Jan. 11, nullified Oyinlola`s election as PDP National Secretary.
The ruling was based on a suit filed by the Chairman of Ogun State chapter of PDP, Mr Adebayo Dayo.
Dayo, in the suit, had argued that Oyinola emerged as the PDP national secretary through a “kangaroo process.’’
He held that since the Federal High Court in Lagos nullified the South-West zonal congress which produced Oyinlola, his continued stay in office was illegal, null and void.
This, he argued, was especially so as his candidacy had earlier been voided.
The National Legal Adviser of PDP, Mr Victor Kwom, said the party was still studying the Appeal Court’s judgment and would react at the appropriate time.
The party’s National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, said he would remain in office pending when the Supreme Court takes final decision on the issue.
He said the appellants from Ogun state were already heading to the Supreme Court, adding that he would only quit on the orders of the apex court.
“The respondents from Ogun state, who took Oyinlola to court in the first place, I believe, are now in the process of going to the Supreme Court, which is the final court.
“As to my position, nothing has changed. I remain the National Secretary of the party. Supreme Court will have the final say. No cause for alarm”, he stressed.
