The late Omojefe and his family members went to Lagos  to see off his younger sister who was on her way to the United States (U.S.).

She was said to have won the American lottery.

The deceased family members were on their way back to Benin when the unexpected occurred.

Officials of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) said they were yet to get details of the cause of the accident as at the time of filing this report.

But the President, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Dr. Kingsley Okafor, confirmed the incident.

He stated that he and others had paid a visit to the deceased family, pointing out that the late Omojefe’s wife has been taken to the husband’s village in Delta State.

He also disclosed that the Association of Resident Doctors has declared a seven-day mourning period.

He advised members of the body to wear black armband during the period.

He said: “We will observe a minute silence every day before any clinic session”.
