Sharks vs Lobi : Ogunbote eyes third straight win

© Kabiru Abubakar/BackpagepixRejuvenated Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt look set to continue their good run in the Globacom Premier League when they confront struggling Lobi Stars of Makurdi in a week 26 game.

The Blue Angels have shown the character of a team that can rise from the dead with their good performances in the past four weeks which have seen them recording three victories against Gombe United and Dolphins, as well as a draw against Kwara United in Ilorin.

Although those results have helped pushed the team out of the dreaded drop zone, head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote said it is not yet time to relax as he prepares his lads ahead of the crunchy fixture against Lobi Stars this weekend at the Garden City.

”I am happy we have been able to get our acts together and get back to winning ways, but is not the end of the journey yet. We still have to redouble our efforts to ensure we finally land in a safe position on the league table.”

He added: ”Against Lobi. it is not going to be easy but we are approaching the match with all seriousness,” the ex-Sunshine Stars of Akure handler said.

Lobi Stars are equally in dire need of good results to swim out of the relegation zone and this is what coach Evans Ogenyi and his lads would have at the back of their minds as they take on the Garden City side.

In other week 26 pairings, Akwa United will welcome El-Kanemi Warriors, Kwara United will be guest of Nasarawa United while ABS will play host to Wikki Tourists in Ilorin.

Elsewehere, it is Rangers against Gombe United, Nembe City vesus Warri Wolves, Enyimba up against Kaduna United and Heartland versus Warri Wolves.
