Samuel Eto’o has made a €100,000 bet with a supporter that Antalyaspor will claim a top 10 finish in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
There has been discontent among sections of Akrepler fans as they have witnessed their team, who finished ninth last year, make a poor start to the current campaign which sees seem them rock-bottom of the division and without a victory after seven games played.
Samuel Eto’o was the second highest scorer in the Turkish top flight last season with 20 goals.
On Monday night they were seconds away from recording a first win of the season against Rizespor but conceded an equaliser in second half injury time to draw 1-1.

At the final whistle and Eto’o went out to meet one particular disgruntled supporter, Mehmet Akdeniz, and promised to give him €100,000 if the club don’t recover from their poor start to and finish in the top half of the table.
Furthermore, Eto’o took the Mehmet’s contact details and now the latter faces the prospect of his team being relegated but receiving a huge sum of money.
