The Police Command in Zamfara State has deployed another police unit to Magami village, Maradun Local Government area where bandits killed a number of persons on Saturday.
The unit comprises Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) and the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS)
A statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Mohammed Shehu in Gusau on Sunday said the personnel would complement efforts of the police and other security operatives already on ground.
While condoling families of the deceased who were killed by the bandits, Shehu said the additional team had since arrived the area and had joined in the trail of the attackers.
He added that all security agencies in the state would continue to work jointly until lasting peace was attained.
