Ajimobi: Buhari, Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Fayemi, Oyetola, Ambode, PDP, others mourn

Ambode

From Bode Durojaiye, Oyo.
Market men and women under the aegis of Progressives Traders Association in Oyo metropolis have expressed strong indignation over what they referred to as “insensitivity and insincerity of Governor Abiola Ajimobi to the well-being of the people of Oyo town and its environs.’’
The association, which stated this on Wednesday in Oyo town, described as unfortunate and mere playing to the gallery the commissioning of Iseyin dual carriage roads on Tuesday when that of Oyo town were shoddily constructed and uncompleted.
Speaking with newsmen, interim chairman of the association, Mr. Olorunfemi Adewale, said: “It is disheartening that while many residents, especially market men and women at the ancient Akesan Market are yet to recuperate from dust related-diseases, such as asthma emitted during the constructions of Owode/Isokun and Owode/Akesan roads which have now been abandoned, no action was taken
by the State Government either on the health care of the victims or compensations paid to all those whose houses were demolished’’.
Adewale noted that the people of the state expect the governor not to give preferential treatment to any part of the state on the commissioning of roads which were simultaneously awarded for constructions.
“Besides, traders in Oyo and environs are yet to benefit from
zero-interest loans released to our counterparts in Ibadan till today. We are scattered across the four council area and non- partisan politically. Oyo and environs deserve better attention than we are getting. We do not deserve token governance’’
