3sc_football_clubThe Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, has assured the teeming fans and supporters of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan that the club would get over the present situation soon even as he has called for prayers for their survival from the relegation zone.

The Commissioner said this while reacting to the team’s defeat against Wikki Tourist of Bauchi on Wednesday, and appealed for patience and understanding promising that things would get better.

He said the team has made significant progress in the last few days since he came back from leave that saw it beat highly-rated Kano Pillars and narrowly lost to Wikki Tourist of Bauchi saying the much awaited away win will come very soon.

”Shooting Stars is our heritage and I understand their place in history, therefore I can never fold my arms and allow things to go wrong. So my appeal is for patience and prayers. We are making progress and very soon we will start winning away from home.”

Lam-Adesina stated that, never again would 3SC be in this situation as serious reorganization effort within the team is on going.

“I want to appeal to our supporters not to lose hope in the team, we are working really hard. What the team need now is prayers from everybody and I strongly believe good results will start flowing in soon” he said

Meanwhile, the Oluyole Warriors continue their bid for survival with a home match against in form Bayelsa United FC of Yenagoa.

Fresh from last Wednesday’s loss to Wikki Tourists, the Ibadan soccer lords will aim for a repeat of their performance against Kano Pillars whom they hammered 3-0 last Sunday at the same venue (Lekan Salami Stadium), to move out of the relegation zone temporarily.
