CJN’s arraignment at CCT stalled, fixed for Jan 22

Respite came the way of embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghen, on Thursday as a three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, presided over by Hon Justice Abdul Aboki, ordered the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to stay action in his ongoing trial, pending the hearing and determination of the case on appeal.

Hearing of the substantive case at the Appeal Court was also adjourned to January 30 for the court to decide whether or not the CCT has jurisdiction to proceed with the trial.
