The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, on Tuesday, postponed the scheduled visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state for the flag-off campaigns of its governorship candidate, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), to November 10, 2016.

The visit was initially scheduled for November 3.

The Publicity Secretary of the Party in the state, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, stated this at a press briefing in Akure.

Omo’ba Adesanya said that, the postponement was due to the tight schedule of Mr President.

“The President wants to be present at the campaign rally in person. This is due to the economic importance of Ondo State to the development of Nigeria”, he said.

The Party, therefore, urged all good citizens of Ondo State, market men and women, artisans, workers, students and all party faithfuls “to ensure that the President is given a rousing welcome as our State stands to gain a lot from the President’s visit”.
