Malawi coach, Tom Saintfiet, has rejected Stephen Keshi’s move to make friends with him, as he declared that there was no need to shake hands with the Nigeria coach.
Both men have been locked in a war of words since Saintfiet and the Malawi FA suggested that Calabar was not a safe venue to host Saturday’s 2014.
Keshi angrily referred to Saintfiet as a ‘white dude’ who should go back to Belgium, prompting the Malawi FA to lodge a complaint with FIFA.
This week, Keshi told media that he had nothing against Saintfiet and was prepared to shake hands when they meet at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar.
But the Belgian had of that as he refused to shake hands with the former Super Eagles captain. “I did nothing wrong. I don’t have to apologise, I don’t have to shake hands with him,” he said.
