The war of words between the former President of the Nigeria Football Federation Sani Lulu Abdullahi and the Presidential Task Force on the Super Eagles 2010 World Cup continued on Thursday, as Lulu hit hard on the members of the PTF who claimed that, the idea of the NFF Football House was initiated by them.
Lulu insisted that his administration had already commenced plans to build one before he was ousted from office.
“Well to the best of my knowledge, we in the NFF initiated the project and wanted to use $4,100, 000 we saved in FIFA account to prosecute it before I was impeached,” Lulu disclosed.
“The claim by PTF that they were the initiators of the said project is baffling, because as at the date they claimed to have initiated and approved it, I was still the president of the NFF and I was not briefed.
“Or does it means that they had already impeached me before the next four days that I was announced to have been impeached,” he queried.
Lulu accused the members of the PTF of seeking to score cheap political points by peddling rumours, and warned Nigerians to be careful of members of the PTF who he accused of ‘being up to something’ that could affect Nigerian football negatively.
