Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Burna Boy has achieved a historic milestone after recording the highest concert revenue by an African artiste, according to global tour analytics platform Touring Data.

The achievement was announced on the platform’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the commercial success of Burna Boy’s “No Sign of Weakness” global tour.

Touring Data reported that the tour generated about $3.1 million from 31,000 tickets sold across four performances in Oceania, setting a new revenue record for an African artiste in the region.

A significant part of the record was achieved during the Sydney concert held at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

The Sydney performance alone reportedly earned approximately $1.117 million, further strengthening the singer’s status as one of Africa’s most successful touring artists.

Burna Boy’s “No Sign of Weakness” tour spanned about 20 shows across three continents, including North America, Europe and Oceania.

During the Oceania leg of the tour, the Afrobeats star performed in four shows across Australia, attracting nearly 31,000 fans and generating the total revenue of $3.1 million

Industry observers say the milestone reflects the increasing global demand for African music and the growing international reach of Afrobeats artists.

The achievement also reinforces Burna Boy’s reputation as one of the continent’s most influential performers, with his concerts consistently selling out major arenas worldwide.

Known for hit songs like On The Low, the Nigerian superstar continues to expand the global footprint of African music through large-scale international tours.
