nduka_iraborThe Globacom Premier League Management Company (LMC) headed by Honourable Nduka Irabor, on Monday slammed Kwara United with a fine of N5 million and didn’t stop there, but also banished them to Abuja for the rest of the season.

The League Management Company also directed that Kwara United football club would replay their abandoned week 29 match against Warri Wolves in Abuja on Thursday.

This punishment came as a result of fans’ unruly behaviour and an assault on assistant referee who was beaten at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin after the first half which ended goalless.

In addition to the punishment, Kwara United are to pay a whopping sum of N5million to the LMC before the replay on Thursday or lose three goals, three points to the Seasiders.

The LMC announced the closure of the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin to all fans until the end of the season.
