Lives and property will be in great danger if security issue is left for the government alone, says the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Cornelius Aderanti.
Aderanti said this while recieving four patrol vehicles donated to the command by MTN Telecommunication in Lagos on Monday.
The police chief attributed the success of security operations in the state to the government/private sector partnership.
Aderanti emphasised that security was a serious business that involves the spending of large funds.
The police chief commended the telecom company for the gesture and urged others to emulate the company.
Earlier, the Executive Secretary, MTN Foundation, Ms Nnoyi Mgboma, said the donation was part of her organisation’s social responsibility acttivities.
