A month after he was removed as Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa has sued his successor, Lasbat
Mojisola Meranda and the House.
The lawmaker from Agege, who has been a member of the Assembly since 2003, approached the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja on Friday, seeking an immediate order for his reinstatement as the Number Three Citizen of the Centre of Excellence.

To Obasa, his removal on January 13, 2025 was wrong and unconstitutional. The lawsuit, filed on February 14, names Meranda and the House of Assembly as defendants.
