The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted reports claiming that its chairman directed Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs) and supervisors to report urgently to the party secretariat.

The party described the claims as inaccurate and deliberately misleading.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo, said the publication was designed to stir unnecessary anxiety within the party and the wider public.

According to him, the report alleged that the State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, summoned all SLGs and supervisors to the party’s secretariat at Acme over instructions purportedly originating from the Presidential Villa.

Oladejo firmly denied the claim, stating that no such directive was issued and no emergency meeting had been convened as suggested.

He emphasized that the Lagos APC operates with discipline, transparency, and adherence to established procedures, stressing that decisions are made collectively and in line with due process.

The spokesman added that the party’s current priority is preparing for the upcoming national elections.

He noted that efforts are focused on strengthening party structures, enhancing internal coordination, and mobilizing members to secure electoral success.

Oladejo also cautioned members and the general public against circulating unverified information capable of generating unnecessary political tension.

He assured that official communications would always be conveyed through recognized party channels.
