Association of Katsina State Indigenes residing in Lagos State (AKSIL) says the incoming Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda, needs prayers to enable his administration to succeed.

The association president, Alhaji Abubakar Sunusi-Faskari, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on Sunday in Katsina on the impending inauguration of the new governor.

According to him, the people of Katsina, irrespective of their political differences, should pray for the success of the new governor.

Sunusi-Faskari, who is also the Danburan Katsina, said this was the only way to move the state to a greater level.

He said that the outgoing governor, Aminu Masari, has done his best in moving the state forward, adding that  Radda would also do his best to make the state to compete with others.

He said his association would give the incoming administration all the necessary support it required to succeed.

“Governance is a continuous process and, therefore, we must thank almighty God for bringing us to witness the inauguration of the new government.

“The new government under Radda, we pray to God to give him the ability and capability to deliver what is expected from him by the electorate.

“We have very good expectations from him because of his experience, education, exposure and commitment,” according to Sunusi-Faskari.

He said that Katsina people were expecting a lot of good things and more development from Radda’s administration.

“Let me tell you something, all these expectations cannot be achieved without unity and our prayers and hence we should keep praying.

Also speaking, the AKSIL Deputy President, Malam Muhammad Muhammad, said the association under the leadership of Sunusi-Faskari had recorded a lot of successes in uniting Katsina people residing in Lagos and its neighboring states.

According to him, the association has also intervened in a lot of issues concerning not only Katsina people but other northerners residing in Lagos State.
