Kalu visits Maduro, oil & gas, OPEC discussed

Former Governor of Abia State and Senator-elect, Dr. Orji Kalu, has visited President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.

At the meeting held at the Presidential Miraflores Palace, Caracas, on Monday, were Maduro’s wife, Cilia Flores; Vice-President Delcy Rodríguez, Deputy Minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel and others.

Freedom Online learned that oil and gas business, OPEC matters and strengthening the existing relationship between the Latin American country and Nigeria were discussed.

Kalu is one of the closest politicians to President Muhammadu Buhari.
It is not clear if the frosty relationship between Maduro and Western coalition led by President Donald Trump of the United States (U.S.) was discussed.
