APC rejects Adamawa governorship supplementary election date

The Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission (JISIEC) has fixed February 13, 2016 for the conduct of council polls in the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmad, disclosed this in Dutse, the state capital, on Saturday.
He explained that the election would hold in all the 27 Local Government areas of the state.
According him, 27 political parties in the state have indicated interest to participate in the election.
Ahmad added that the sales of nomination forms would commence November 18 and end on November 29, 2015 while verification of candidates sponsored by political parties to contest, would commence on January 15 and end on January 22, 2016.
The chairman appealed to stakeholders to support JISIEC to enable it conduct free, fair, and credible election.
