The Iranian government has put the estimated cost of the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel at approximately $270 billion describing the figure as preliminary.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani disclosed the estimate in comments to Russian state media, noting that the assessment covers damage since hostilities intensified in February 2026.

She explained that authorities are still in the early stages of evaluating the full economic impact of the conflict.

According to Mohajerani, the first phase of the assessment focuses on determining the extent of damage to infrastructure, including buildings and public assets.

She added that further analysis would include broader economic losses, such as reduced government revenue and disruption to economic activities.

The Iranian government has indicated its intention to pursue reparations from both the United States and Israel over the destruction caused by the conflict.

Mohajerani also revealed that the issue of compensation has been raised in ongoing diplomatic engagements.

She noted that the matter featured in recent direct talks between Iran and the United States held in Islamabad signaling its importance in negotiations.

The development highlights the growing economic toll of the conflict and its potential implications for regional stability and international relations.
