Ideye to start from the bench

brown_ideyeDynamo Kiev striker, Brown Ideye, will this evening start from the bench as the Super Eagles chief coach, Stephen Keshi have decided to start Cologne FC striker Anthony Ujah in the World Cup qualifiers against the Btave Warriors of Namibia.

Last week, Ideye struggled against Kenya in Nairobi, while Ujah was a second-half substitute on his Eagles debut.

Otherwise coach Stephen Keshi has kept faith with starting XI for last week’s 1-0 victory in Kenya.

But goalkeeper Austin Ejide drops to the bench for stand-in skipper Vincent Enyeama.

A win for the Eagles on Wednesday night will see them qualify for the final round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers even before the last group game against Malawi in September at home after Malawi were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Kenya earlier on Wednesday.

Eagles starting XI: Vincent Enyeama – Efe Ambrose, Elderson Echiejile, Godfrey Oboabona, Kenneth Omeruo – Ogenyi Onazi, Sunday Mba, Mikel Obi – Anthony Ujah, Ahmed Musa, Nnamdi Oduamadi
