Suspected members of Boko Haram on Wednesday night attacked a police station in Lala, Gombi Local Government, Adamawa State.
Two policemen were killed in the attack which happened at 9.25p.m.
The incident was confirmed by the State Command.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Ibrahim, said the attackers fired shots and explosives during the operation.
“The station was burnt because of the explosives used. We lost two of our men and one other sustained injuries.
“The attackers have escaped to Borno State. You know the place is bordering Borno State.”
The attack was the first of its kind since the imposition of a State of Emergency on the state by President Goodluck Jonathan in May.
