Sepp Blatter’s days in the office as president of FIFA are numbered.
Football’s world governing body’s leaders are expected to meet on Monday at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, to announce an election date to choose Blatter’s successor.
The 79-year-old Blatter has been in office for 17 years.
It will be FIFA’s first meeting since Blatter, newly re-elected at the time, announced on June 2 that he would at some point resign as president, amid the legal scandal currently engulfing both him and the organisation.
