Nigeria defender, Efe Ambrose, has said Celtic were disappointed to drop two points against the Scottish club of compatriot, Juwon Oshaniwa.

Ambrose’s Celtic played out a 2-2 draw with Hearts on Sunday. Oshaniwa’s Hearts played at home and got the equalizer in the stoppage time through Osman Sow.

Celtic lead the table with 44 points from 20 games, while Hearts are third with 34 points.

Ambrose said it was a disappointment to get a draw after they led 2-1 till the death.

“We were disappointed we didn’t win the game,” he lamented.

Oshaniwa said they will take the draw even though they had the chances to win the game.

“Generally, it was not a bad game, we played well and we went all out for the maximum three points, but one point is not a bad outcome against a team like Celtic,” he said.

“We created a lot of chances but couldn’t bury them all.”

Incidentally, both defenders have previously played for FC Ashdod in Israel.

Oshaniwa played for the entire duration of the game, while Ambrose was introduced for injured Dedryck Boyata in the 32nd minute.
