Dotun Oladipo’s demise ‘a personal loss’ – Orji Kalu

Senator representing Abia North Senatorial district and former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has described the passing of the Managing Editor and Chief Executive Officer, Premium Eagle Media Limited (Publishers of The Eagle Online), Mr Dotun Oladipo, as shocking and devastating.
Kalu, while acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the deceased to the media space, stressed that the media guru was a complete gentleman and seasoned journalist.
The former Governor recalled his long-standing relationship with the late Oladipo, adding that the late publisher will be remembered for his good works.
In a condolence message released by his media office, the Senator conveyed his sympathies to the Oladipo family, the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (G0COP) and other stakeholders in the media industry.
He said, “I was devastated when I received the sad news of the demise of the Publisher of the Eagle Online, Mr Dotun Oladipo.
“I met Dotun through his late father. I had a cordial relationship with him in his lifetime. Dotun worked closely with my media team and the Sun Publishing Limited in various capacities.
“He was a committed family man and thoroughbred media expert. He was easy going, humble, jovial and kind hearted.
“It is a personal loss. I lost a friend and brother.
“I condole with Oladipo’s widow, Taiwo, and his children. May God grant the departed soul eternal rest and give the Oladipo family the fortitude to bear the sad loss”.
Kalu also extended his condolences to the government and people of Osun State.
