Kabir-Yusuf: I remain Kano PDP governorship candidate despite court ruling

Court

An Abuja Federal High Court has nullified the nomination of Senator Ayogu Eze as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Enugu state .
In its judgement on Monday, the court declared George Ogara as the authentic candidate having won the direct primary election conducted in the state.
The election of Ayogu Eze, which was held in a hotel in Enugu, was declared by the court as an aberration to democratic principles.
The court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish Ogara’s name as the authentic candidate of APC in Enugu State.
One of Ayogu Eze’s supporters said that Eze may likely appeal and probably a stay of execution could be filed immediately.
He was optimistic that Eze would be on the ballot for the election.
