The FCT High Court in Life Camp, Abuja, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, adjourned the trial of Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as “Odumodublvck,” in a case of assault and battery until June 23, 2026.
At the resumed hearing, the claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, announced his appearance and informed the court that the matter was ready for hearing. He also noted that the claimant, Ogbogiri Okey Levi, popularly known as “Kraziecent,” who is the sole witness in the case, was present in court and prepared to proceed.
However, the defendant’s counsel, Taiwo Akinsulie, had served a letter seeking an adjournment, explaining that he had traveled outside the court’s jurisdiction and would not be able to return until May 31. Akinsulie requested that the case be adjourned to June 3 or any other convenient date in June to enable him to attend the session.
Although Ojembe did not oppose the request for adjournment, he urged the court to grant it under strict terms. Ojembe also highlighted that the adjournment request came from a partner in the defendant’s law firm, not from the defendant’s substantive counsel. He pointed out that this would be the fifth adjournment in the case, with two of those at the defendant’s request. The other two adjournments were due to court renovations and a bereavement in the court on November 26, 2025.
Justice Adeyemi Ajayi, in her ruling, acknowledged the claimant’s counsel’s submissions and noted that if the defendant fails to appear at the next adjourned date, the court may issue the necessary orders. She then adjourned the case to June 23, 2026, for hearing.
The case dates back to December 2024, when Kraziecent filed a suit against Odumodublvck, claiming that the rapper’s actions caused emotional distress and that his iPhone 15 Pro Max was intentionally damaged during the incident. Kraziecent is seeking a court order for Odumodublvck to cover his medical expenses and issue a public apology through his social media platforms and two national newspapers, or pay N2 billion in damages.
