The City Boy Movement (CBM) has announced a change in its leadership in Oyo State, replacing its state coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, over allegations of misconduct and actions considered detrimental to the organisation.
The decision was disclosed in a statement issued in Ibadan by the Director-General of the movement, Francis Shoga.
According to the statement, Ajibola was removed following allegations of gross misconduct, insubordination and behaviour deemed contrary to the interests of the City Boy Movement.
The organisation also alleged that the former coordinator made offensive comments about its patron, Seyi Tinubu, as well as derogatory remarks concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Shoga further stated that Ajibola’s actions were considered capable of damaging the image and public reputation of the support group.
Following his removal, the movement appointed Adewale Oladiti as the new Oyo State Coordinator.
The Director-General said Oladiti was selected based on his dedication to the organisation, active grassroots engagement and commitment to strengthening the movement’s presence and activities across Oyo State.
The City Boy Movement expressed confidence that the new coordinator would help advance its objectives and provide effective leadership in the state.
The City Boy Movement is a political support group aligned with the political interests of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
